How to handle functional clothing
To maintain the functional properties of clothing in the best possible condition, it must be handled properly. Therefore, carefully read the labels with care symbols printed or sewn on the product and always carry out maintenance in accordance with these symbols. Wash the products in a washing machine on a gentle program at a low temperature. You can use ordinary detergents and care products, but to maintain all functional properties, we recommend washing in special HEY SPORT detergents, which are also available for purchase in our e-shop. Do not use fabric softener. Wash the laundry inside out and pay attention to zippers, plastic patches, etc., which can cause snags in delicate knitwear.

How to care for merino wool
Merino wool is the most perfect natural fiber today. It is soft, insulates well, has excellent thermoregulatory properties, absorbs moisture and unpleasant body odors even when worn for a long time. In order to preserve the natural properties of merino wool and the clothing in the best possible condition, it must be handled correctly. Wash woolen products only when they are really dirty. This significantly extends the life of the garment. Be sure to carry out maintenance according to the indicated symbols on each piece of clothing. When washing in the washing machine, use a gentle program for wool. You can dry the laundry in the dryer at low temperatures.
Washing and storing Merino products
Turn the laundry inside out before washing. Use only detergents intended for wool. We recommend MERINO WASH. Regular detergent is alkaline and contains enzymes that can disrupt the function of the wool fiber. Do not use fabric softener when washing. We recommend washing new underwear before wearing it for the first time. When washing for the first time, wash the laundry separately or with clothes of the same color to prevent other clothes from being stained if the color bleeds. Light clothes (functional clothes) can be hung on a line to dry. Heavier woolen clothes (sweaters, sweatshirts) should be dried loosely spread out on a clothesline. Since wool is a very delicate natural material, it can be attacked by moths. Therefore, be sure to use a moth repellent when storing. Always carry out maintenance according to the symbols on each garment! Any complaints do not apply to mechanical damage to the fabric by the user and to holes in the fabric caused by moths.

How to prevent mechanical damage to functional underwear
The fibers we use for functional underwear (especially staple fibers) are very fine. They give the product its unique properties. However, this can be at the expense of its mechanical resistance to abrasion. Staple yarn ensures the functional properties of the fabric or knitwear. The yarn wicks away moisture and also serves as thermal insulation. To achieve warmth, the fibers in the yarn are less twisted and thus have a greater tendency to so-called pilling.
Principles of proper handling of clothing
To avoid damage to functional clothing, it is necessary to follow the principles of proper handling. If you wear a backpack directly on top of the clothing or expose it to similar mechanical stress, the clothing may pill. This is not a functional defect but only an aesthetic defect. We therefore recommend avoiding direct contact with coarser structures (e.g. backpacks, carpets, jacket linings, rough washing, Velcro fasteners, etc.). This type of damage to the material cannot be the subject of a complaint.
The above information is not a brand feature, but applies to high-quality functional clothing in general.

Sports shoe care
Caring for sports shoes (for adults and children) starts with the right choice: choose a model designed for a specific sport, with appropriate stability, cushioning and tread. After each activity, remove dirt, remove the insoles, air the shoes and dry them at room temperature - never on a radiator. Regularly impregnate (depending on the material), alternate pairs and change worn insoles. For children, also make sure they are the right size with an excess of 10-15 mm, a spacious round toe and a firm heel; check the size often, children's feet grow quickly. The right choice and maintenance extend the life of the shoes and increase performance and safety during sports.
